I’m at the @honolulumuseum and this painting is “Portrait of Concha” by Diego Rivera (1886–1957). This piece was painted in 1927 is the first of two Rivera paintings in the Honolulu Museum of Art, the other being the 1926 painting “The Flower Seller.” Rivera’s timeless murals are what most-likely come to mind when his legacy is discussed, but paintings like this are a great reminder that he was a traditional fine artist as well.
