I2s cable recommendation | Headphone Reviews and Discussion
May 22, 2019 · Basically I’d love a recommendation for a hdmi type i2s cable that is inexpensive but still a step above your vanilla generic cable. I’m definitely trying to avoid the $300 or more audiophile cables bandied about.

Jul 20, 2024 · Try the purist audio hdmi cable at under $300. I use it and it replaced the over $700 tubulus concentus cable without missing a beat. It does require a couple hundred hours of break-in. A bit bright at first and nicely rounded after break-in.

Jul 16, 2012 · I run a very detailed system with a Wyred 4 Sound Dac 2, Wyred 4 Sound STI500 and Magnepan 1.7s. The Morrow cables replaced the JW Audio Cryo $10 per foot speaker cables. The Morrows are MUCH BETTER. They do not have any of the very slight harshness I heard with the JW Audio cables and are a little more refined as they should be at 5X the price.

Oct 23, 2017 · I exchanged a standard CAT 7 cable on one leg of the connection with Audioquest's Forest Ethernet cable. There was a small but clearly audible improvement. From the reviews on the Web I conclude that the top cable by Audioquest (Diamond) would give the biggest improvement of all Audioquest Ethernet cables.

There are no moving parts in a cable, so it isn't that the cable gets "trained" to sound better over time, like parting your hair to one side for years, then switching it to another direction. May 12, 2014 · The problem with high end USB cables is that a lot of them stray away from USB 2.0 specifications and use lower gauge (thicker) wires. A lot of USB modules on DACs depend on the cable to be within spec to perform optimally. A bad USB cable will have distorted/noisy high frequency audio.
