They told a great story and worked a great match, but what really put it over the top was Dustin leaking to a sickening degree. I truly hope this isn’t one last ride for Dustin Rhodes because he’s still one of the best

In 1999, Dustin Rhodes returned to WCW with a new Gimmick called 'SEVEN' and this was the first appearance/promo. What's amazing is that in just a span of 2 years time, the goldust gimmick was reintroduced in WWE and would continue until 2019!

Dustin is having his farewell tour and still putting on classics, it shouldn’t be easy to beat a legend- especially when Punk himself is no spring chicken anymore. It was two tough as nails veterans working their asses off to put on a great match

Dustin can still go and is an amazing wrestler, but he had it all when he was young. Even if he's lost 20% off the top of this, he's still a top guy. And WWF gave him Goldust. Sure, no one else could have made that work, but he'd have been better off with any other gimmick. Him and Scott Hall are in there as Champions who never needed a belt.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Ricky Starks & Dustin Rhodes vs. Will Hobbs & some other legend, with a stip that says if Starks/Rhodes lose, Rhodes has to retire. What a way to have Hobbs get to Ricky Starks - blaming Ricky for Dustin's retirement. Could amplify a ton of heat.
