The National Weather Service is collecting snowfall data from the winter storm that impacted southeast Wisconsin on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Widespread snowfall totals of 3-6 inches will be likely with some areas near the lake seeing some enhancement leading to isolated 7 or 8 inch totals.

Milwaukee could nearly triple its January snowfall total Wednesday with up to nine inches forecast in some areas.

There have been a few light snow showers across southern Wisconsin early this morning, most of them have been hugging along the state line. Watch out of an isolated slippery spot or two.
