The Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office has announced changes to its jail policies following the death of Rolin Hill.

Sheriff Rocky Holcomb has banned the use of wrap restraints by his office and added more oversight roles following the June 2024 death of Rolin Hill in custody.

Rolin Hill, 34, suffered a medical emergency in June while deputies at the Virginia Beach city jail were trying to book him. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died six days later.
