Loretta Devine hinted that she had tension with her former “The Client List” co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt. Devine, 75, said she had a “mixed” experience working with Hewitt, 45 — who also executive produced the Lifetime series that aired from 2012 to 2013 — in an interview with People at the American Black Film Festival Honors in LA on Monday.

Loretta Devine is opening up about her experience working with Jennifer Love Hewitt, calling her time on the two seasons of The Client List "mixed."

The Client List, which premiered in 2021, centered on Riley Parks, played by Hewitt, a mother abandoned by her husband who accepts work at a day spa with X-rated extras called The Rub, run by Georgia Cummings, played by Devine.

It isn’t rare for actors and producers to butt heads from time to time — and that seems to be exactly the case when it comes to Jennifer Love Hewitt on The Client List, a drama show that began in 2011 and aired only until 2013.
