SALEM — Neil Jay Paxson, 84, died Jan. 10, 2025, at his home following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 28, 1940, son of the late Chester “Al” Paxson and Margaret (DeWan) Paxson.

Rushed for 751 yards, 15 TDs. Had 166 yards receiving on 7 catches, 3 TDs. RB Kenyon Gardner, Paxon, Sr. Big weapon for Golden Eagles. Had 1,528 rushing yards, 13 TDs on 149 carries (10.3 ypc).
