According to the criminal complaint, Stachowicz set fire to Grothman’s office in Fond du Lac — causing minor damage — early Sunday morning. He allegedly told police the act was in response to the banning of the social media platform TikTok in the U.S., which Grothman voted in favor of.
James Edwards made his initial appearance in Milwaukee County court on Friday, Jan. 17. Cash bond was set at $200,000.
