2025 BMW M3 CS Touring is nuts
BMW expects its earnings before taxes in the fourth quarter to be significantly below last year and for its full-year margin to be in the lower half of its 6-7% target, according to slides posted on the carmaker's website on Tuesday.

The car rides on the new CXV platform, which is being billed as an “advanced evolution” of their bonded aluminum chassis. It promises to be lighter and stiffer, while also enabling a “range of new technical features and engineering enhancements throughout, all contributing to greater dynamic performance and driving enjoyment.”
BMW will propose this week that the European Union lower its tariff on U.S. car imports to 2.5% from 10%, in line with the current U.S. import tariff, the German automaker's CEO Oliver Zipse said on Tuesday.

For the 2026 model year, BMW adds the entry-level iX xDrive45, which has a 100.1-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery and 402 hp. It can accept charging rates up to 175 kilowatts (kW) at a DC fast-charging station, while other iX models can charge up to 195 kW.
The #32 BMW M4 driven by Kelvin van der Linde paced the first practice, clocking a 2:02.900s on his sixth lap of the session. The South African driver headed the #75 SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG of Kenny Habul, Jules Gounon, and Luca Stolz.
The Team WRT BMW M4 of Augusto Farfus/Sheldon van der Linde/Kelvin van der Linde was the car to beat in the opening practice session of the 2025 Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour. Brazilian Farfus was the only driver to dip into the 2:02s range, setting a 2:02.9000s to give the #32 a three tenths advantage over the rest of the field.
