The Lakers said Saturday night that their trade with the Charlotte Hornets for Mark Williams was rescinded, with sources telling ESPN's Shams Charania that the 7-foot center failed Los Angeles' physical exam.

According to Brett Siegel, the Hornets didn't supply the Lakers with enough information about Williams' medical history. Los Angeles then found something during his physical that was concerning enough to call off the deal.

The Los Angeles Lakers are back to square one on finding a long-term big man to play with superstar guard Luka Dončić. The Lakers shared on Saturday evening that the team’s deadline trade from Thursday with the Charlotte Hornets for center Mark Williams had been rescinded.
