Apple and Google have restored TikTok to their U.S. app stores after President Trump delayed enforcement of a law that requires the popular video app to divest or face a nationwide ban.

There has been speculation that Apple and Google were awaiting assurances that they wouldn't face legal issues for hosting or distributing the app

Apple and Alphabet’s Google restored ByteDance’s TikTok to their app stores late Thursday following assurances in a letter from U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi that a ban wouldn’t immediately be enforced.
