Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned Putin is preparing for war against NATO. Mr Zelensky issued his warning during a live question and answer session in Munich on Friday (14 February). He warned: “I think that he [Vladimir Putin] is preparing the war against Nato countries next year.

It comes after US President Donald Trump spoke to both the Ukrainian and Russian leaders, and suggested negotiations to end the war would follow.

President Donald Trump announced that the war in Ukraine is close to ending following a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He described the conversation as "highly productive" and said they agreed on the need to stop the conflict.
