Following a deadly midair collision between a passenger jet and an Army helicopter near Washington D.C. on Wednesday, some people are wondering about the safety at other airports.

In a press release Tuesday, the commission said the growth was buoyed by international flights. A new MSP record was set for international travel in 2024 with more than 3.6 million travelers using the airport. Airlines at MSP travel to 32 different international destinations.

It's a 6.9% increase over 2023 and the fourth straight year in which the airport saw passenger totals rise after setting a record of 39.5 million passengers in 2019. While it didn't set a record for total passengers,
