Denver District Court Judge Sarah B. Wallace on Friday rejected most of the restrictions that King Soopers had sought on striking workers picketing its stores but did set some conditions.

After months of back and forth over a new contract, thousands of King Soopers employees began picketing outside of some unionized stores in the Denver metro on Thursday.

A district judge ruled Friday King Soopers employees can continue striking across the state, but were barred from engaging in certain activities to protect public and employee safety.
