The "Pink Pony Club" singer called for record labels to provide better healthcare for their artists in her Grammy acceptance speech

Grammy Award winner Chappell Roan fired back at a recent op-ed that trivialized her onstage plea for artists' healthcare, asking the music executive who wrote it to (pink) pony up.

The new fundraising effort was started by Roan and non-profit Backline to "create a safer and more supported industry for artists to thrive."

Chappell Roan isn’t the only one dropping $25,000 to support fellow artists. After former music exec Jeff Rabhan called out Roan in an op-ed for the Hollywood Reporter, Roan fought back and asked Rabhan to go band for band in donations to Backline’s “We Got You” campaign inspired by her Grammys speech advocating for better healthcare for musicians.
