A 1,000-mile ‘coast-to-coast’ snow blizzard and deadly ice blitz threatens the ‘worst winter storm in a century’. As Winter Storm Enzo paralyses roads, flights and transport networks, forecasters warn there is worse to come.

Blizzard warnings were issued for areas near the Gulf Coast as a massive winter storm hits the South. Nearly 250 million Americans are under cold weather advisories or extreme cold warnings.

An approaching winter storm could drop nearly 10 inches of snow on Albany, a change in accumulation during a winter that so far has featured frigid temperatures but only modest snowfall. The Hudson Valley could see a similar snowfall from a storm expected to hit on Saturday and continue into Sunday.
