A second winter storm in as many days is slamming parts of the Midwest before rolling toward the East Coast. Major travel disruptions are likely.

Another winter storm is unleashing its fury across the central U.S., bringing heavy snow and ice to portions of the Plains and Midwest, forcing officials to close state offices and schools and prompting warnings to delay travel if possible.

Preparations are underway across the Midwest, including Chicago, as a powerful winter storm barrels across the region. FOX Weather Correspondent Robert Ray was in Chicago on Wednesday morning as the region braces for what will likely be the biggest snowstorm of the season so far.
