A poll from The New York Times and Ipsos found that Americans believe abortion, L.G.B.T.Q. issues and climate change concern Democrats more than the cost of living.

Democrats in the states are aiming to pass a series of laws focused on housing affordability, which was a major issue for voters in the 2024 election.

Many Americans said the Democratic Party is not focused on economic issues, according to a new poll. The New York Times and Ipsos poll found that when it comes to “issues” that they “think are most important to the Democratic Party” 17 percent said “the economy/inflation” is one of them.
