Ira Winderman’s perspectives and other items of note from the Miami Heat’s Wednesday night game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
One day before Miami Heat star Tyler Herro finds out if he is an All-Star or not, the team loses to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, 126-106. As the standoff between the Heat and Jimmy Butler continues, the team is still finding a way to find some semblance and consistency.
But Herro admits he’s nervous for Thursday night’s announcement of the reserves for the 2025 All-Star Game, which will take place on Feb. 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco.
OK, let's just go ahead and save all the suspense. There's no possible way the coaches are leaving Wembanyama off the All-Star team. “Just like everything, it's a byproduct of collective results,” Wembanyama said. “And the individual rewards will come.”

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is a believer that Tyler Herro should be an All-Star reserve, which won't be announced until Thursday.
On Thursday night, the reserves for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game will be announced. We already know who the starters are, but the rest of the team will be official on Thursday.
