Two people arrested in connection to the fatal New Year's Eve fireworks explosion in Aliamanu were released Saturday while police continue their investigation.

Another person has died as a result of a fireworks blast in Hawaii that left over 20 people dead or wounded, according to authorities.

The only thing more reliable in Hawaii than the annual explosions lighting up the New Year’s Eve sky has been the failure of politicians and law enforcement to address the issue in any meaningful way.
