A series of atmospheric river storms are getting set to slam the West Coast with heavy rain that could lead to flooding and mudslides while feet of snow could fall in the higher elevations from California to Oregon this week.

The West Coast is in the middle of a long-lasting and potent atmospheric river event, which will bring days of heavy rain and mountain snow throughout the week ahead.

Multiple storms are about to come ashore on the West Coast with heavy rain and snow, gusty winds and the threat for flooding and slides. Seattle and Portland could pick up light snow, but the Sierra and Cascades could see feet of snow this week.
