Penguins fans, strap up, because the news isn't good. Sidney Crosby will unfortunately not be playing in tonight's Penguins game after suffering an injury.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will play a game without Sidney Crosby in the lineup for the first time in nearly three years. Head coach Mike Sullivan ruled the Penguins captain out for their contest against the New York Rangers as he continues to deal with an upper-body injury.

It was a huge sigh of relief when the star forward returned to the game and finished it, with the Penguins losing 3-2 in a shootout, however, on Wednesday, things turned south when Crosby was missing from team practice and head coach Mike Sullivan announced that the Penguins superstar was getting “evaluated for an upper-body injury.”
