Ruben Amorim has opened up on his decision to axe Ruud van Nistelrooy from his coaching staff ahead of Friday night's FA Cup clash between Manchester United and Leicester City.

Ruben Amorim has explained his decision to not keep Ruud van Nistelrooy as part of his coaching staff at Manchester United. Van Nistelrooy was initially brought in as part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching team last the summer but following the Dutchman’s sacking he was asked to step in as interim manager.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has won just three of his 12 matches in charge of Leicester City, having spent time as Man Utd's caretaker boss earlier in the campaign.
