A month after his poor form forced Rohit Sharma to drop himself from a test match in Sydney, the India captain can finally breathe easy after producing a faith-restoring hundred in Sunday's second one-day international against England.

India's recent performance in Test cricket has not been up to the mark. After getting whitewashed at the hands of New Zealand, they also lost to Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy and thus crashed out of the World Test Championship.

Rohit Sharma overcame a string of low scores and snapped it with an explosive ton against England at Cuttack which helped India secure the ODI series.
