Frankie Luvu has a big storyline in Sunday's NFC Championship game, and just hours before kickoff, the Commanders' linebacker was fined nearly $34,000 for two unsportsmanlike fouls in the divisional round win over the Lions.

The Washington defender is best remembered by Eagles' fans for being the player that knocked out Jalen Hurts when the teams met last month at Northwest Stadium.

A interception return for a touchdown by Commanders defensive back Quan Martin turned out to be a doubly painful play for the Lions.

Quan Martin intercepted Jared Goff and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown with 5:25 left in the second quarter of the divisional playoff game at Ford Field in Detroit. On the return, Goff was knocked to the ground by Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu, whose helmet struck the lower part of Goff’s facemask.
