It is home to one of the longest straw stalactites found in any tourist cave in Australia, and its decorations vary from towering crystal creations to intricate lace-like formations stretching and suspended across the ceiling.

There were a couple of young children when we went. They became a bit restless. At one stage, everyone is asked to be quiet while they turn the lights off and the kids kept flashing their lights and giggling during that time. It’s only an hour tour, I guess it depends on the child. Probably not a lot of fun for them.

Hi would this cave be suitable for elderly? We r thinking of going in Aug. No mobility issues but previously had heart surgery n typically needs some breaks when climbing long flights of stairs. I heard of mammoth but seems like it also has steep steps though fewer unless we want to be confined to the wheelchair friendly area.

There are quite a few steps (some steep) through out the cave however plenty of places to take your time and catch your breath. We did a tour and it was not a rushed process. Would highly recommend. The guides were well informed and am sure they will be able to cater to your requirements. Check out their website as you will see some images of the caves and be able to see some pics of the stairs etc.

Hi I want to take my family to the cave but I was wondering can you take a stroller in? I’ve got a 10 month old child so I don’t really want to carry her around the whole time if I can help it
A:
No as there are ladders & steps.
Q:
my mum is a bit unsteady on her feet is the cave tour suitable? is there seating
A:
Alas, no. The floor is uneven plus there are ladders. The lighting is effective 'mood' lighting though not ideal for watching where you step.
